Ryan Best - Nursing Services
Ryan Best graduated from LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts in
1998. Prior to working at Animal Kind, he worked at the Humane Society
in Manhattan. He draws his inspiration from his dog, Zeus, who is a ten
year old red-nosed pitbull who is obedience trained, protection trained
and is also a show dog. Zeus is great with Ryan’s kids and is his best
friend.
Ryan loves listening to music, drawing, spending time with his family
and in his spare time he installs car alarms and car audio equipment.
Dixie Soto - Dental Lab Technician
Dixie Soto worked as a dental lab technician until she realized her
life long love for animals and for the past twenty-three years she has
been working with them. She has one cat that she shares with her
daughter named Oomi. Oomi is a little psychotic, but they love him.
Her interest is reading, we, here at Animal Kind, hardly ever see her without a book.

GROOMING
Ann Raftery - Groomer
Ann Raftery has been working for Animal Kind Veterinary Hospital since
about 1995. She came into this field because she enjoys working with
animals. Her favorite part about working in this area of animal health
care is seeing how great the animals look when she is done grooming
them.
Ann works with most breeds of dogs and cats with the help of her assistant groomer, Priscilla.
