In the not-so-distant past, doctors routinely visited their patient’s homes to perform examinations, treat a variety of injuries and maladies, deliver babies, and more. As hospitals began popping up in more and more communities over the past 50 years or so, the number of doctors who perform house calls has steadily declined.
Veterinary house calls, on the other hand, are rising in popularity. Our own Dr. Gibson has been visiting pet patients in their homes since 1990, and continues it to this day for those patients who need to be seen at home.
