At Animal Kind Veterinary Hospital, we are proud to provide a full-service pharmacy right on the premises for all your pet's needs.

You may contact our pharmacy directly by phone at (718) 832-3899 when the office is open; anytime, day or night, on our online store; by email at [email protected]; or by fax at (718) 832-3904. By purchasing medications directly from Animal Kind Veterinary Hospital, you can be sure you are getting authentic medications from a supplier that knows your pet and will back up your purchase in the unlikely event of a problem.

With so many different products, brands, sizes, and dosages, it can sometimes be confusing to get the right medication for your pet. Our staff is committed to taking the time to ensure that you go home with the right product for your special pet. Animal Kind’s knowledgeable staff is happy to guide you to the most effective way to administer all kinds of medications.

Because we keep careful records of your purchases and refills from our on-site pharmacy, you can be assured of product consistency and availability. It is our goal to ensure that your pet’s prescription refill requests are handled in a timely manner so that no gaps occur in your pet’s therapy.

Nutritional formulas for kittens and puppies and area treatments and shampoos for fleas and ticks, along with oral health care products and special diets for cats and dogs, are also available for your convenience.

Are You Saving Money on Pet Medication by Purchasing from an Online Pharmacy?

We want you to know that some television advertisements from online pet pharmacies are misleading. One would expect from their ads that purchasing medications through them would save you significant amounts of money. The same medications purchased here cost the same as or just a little more. Although unlikely, should your pet have a poor reaction to the heartworm or flea and tick preventatives we sell you, Animal Kind Veterinary Hospital will stand behind these products, and you will not be charged for any veterinary expenses that might result.

As of April 19, 2006, a law went into effect that effectively combats prescription fraud, an ever-increasing problem that has driven up healthcare costs and threatens the safety of New York’s citizens by diverting drugs from legitimate medical use. The new law, section 21 of the Public Health Law, requires that all prescriptions written in New York for both controlled and noncontrolled substances be issued on an official New York State prescription form.

Because of this new law, we are no longer permitted to use a fax-back form that the online pharmacies send us. We must write a prescription on a New York State prescription form. These prescription forms are on secure paper that when faxed or copied, the word “VOID” appears printed on it. We are willing to provide you with a written prescription, which you could then send to them if you prefer.

Purchasing Pet Medications Online: Buyer Beware

Beware of counterfeit medications that are sold online. If the price sounds too good to be true or requires no prescription, it may not be the authentic medication. Visit the U.S. Food and Drug Administration website for more information regarding online pet medication pharmacies.
