Initially confused and uncertain in choosing a career, Amanda advanced her education and obtained a liberal arts degree until finding her passion in veterinary medicine. She always loved animals and science, so it made sense, especially after taking an online certification course in animal science.

Amanda then pursued her livelihood as a licensed technician by attending LaGuardia community college. Still green and inexperienced, Amanda joined Animal Kind Veterinary Hospital in 1999 and has been with us since!

Amanda’s interest in the veterinary field includes nursing, anesthesia, pain management, critical care nursing and dentistry. Amanda loves to help guide and teach those that embrace learning.

Some of Amanda’s interests away from the veterinary field include nature walks, writing poetry, reading, movies, the arts, dining, and the paranormal, just to name a few!
